mushrooms. 

Mushroom Drabble.

“Frodo, I do not *like* the stems.”

“Aragorn, you simply cannot let all that go to waste. Chop the stems up and add 
them to the mixture.”

The king looked puzzled. “But we have no want for mushrooms. Why must ---”

Frodo’s eyes grew even larger than normal with shock. “Because wasting part of a 
mushroom is unthinkable! Just add them, please!”

Grudgingly, Aragorn did so, leaning over the sizzling skillet and inhaling a 
whiff of butter and garlic. “I hope you’re right about the stems.”

“Of course I am,” the hobbit answered confidently, grabbing a pinch of coarse 
salt.
